Masks for Wind Instrument Players
If you play a woodwind or brass instrument, you will need to utilize instrument-specific masks. Here are some recommendations:
Masks
All wind and brass instruments, except flute (option #1. This is probably the best option— it meets the Performing Arts Aerosol Study requirements, it is the only one I’ve used, and I find it comfortable.)
All wind and brass instruments, except flute (option #2)
All wind and brass instruments, except flute (option #3)
Voice (option #1)
Voice (option #2)
Note: you do not need a specialized mask for voice. However, many students find specialized voice masks more comfortable, so we wanted to recommend some options.
The John Payne Music Center will gladly pay for the expense of our students’ wind masks. If you wish reimbursement, just email your name, your teacher’s name, and your mailing address, to jpayne5355@gmail.com— state what you paid for the wind mask and I will mail you a check, rounded up to the nearest dollar.
Be healthy and keep the music alive!
