Diane Wernick

Woodwind Instructor Diane Wernick received her B.A. in Jazz Education from North Texas State University and her M.A. in Music Performance from Northern Illinois University.
Diane has been a part of the JPMC crew since 1994 and is known for her supportive and easy-going teaching style. Teaching saxophone, clarinet, and flute, she enjoys working with both adults and children. Twenty years of teaching and performing experience make her comfortable working with the beginner student as well as the most advanced.
Diane's other current teaching includes Berklee College of Music, directing the Middle School Jazz Band at Buckingham Browne & Nichols, Newton Public Schools Private Lesson Program, and North Reading Schools Private Lesson Program. She performs around the Boston area in a variety of musical settings including jazz combos, swing big bands, sax quartets, wind ensembles, etc. She also performs with (JPMC instructor) Shimon Ben-Shir's band, along with JPMC sax instructor Duncan Martin and ensemble instructor Andy Solberg.
