Mick has performed with nationally known artists including Livingston Taylor, Sid Caesar, and JoAnne Worley.
Mick enjoys teaching students of all levels, beginners through advanced. He finds it very satisying to witness a beginner discover their talents for the first time as well as to coach more advanced students in the refinement of their skills. He's been teaching for many years and consequently can tailor lessons to each student's individual musical tastes and learning styles.
He strives to make the lessons both fun and informative. He uses a variety of method books depending on the student's musical preferences and level. He also uses recordings to help students apply their skills as well as to assist those who learn better by ear and want to strengthen their music reading skills.
Lessons can range anywhere from a crash course in the basics to a solid technical command of drumming in all styles. Whatever a student's interest level is, whether it be strictly as a hobby, coaching school music programs, or that of an aspiring professional, all a student needs to bring to his/her first lesson is a desire to learn and Mick will find a way to make it happen for you!
